Women's Leadership Summit-160x600TCNJ’s Women’s Leadership Summit offers essential tips for effective networking

On November 5, TCNJ will hold its third annual Women’s Leadership Summit, themed “Invigorate, Renew & De-stress Your Networks.” At a time when more women are entering the workforce than ever before, the 2013 WLS will address the importance of networking within professional fields, providing useful tips for creating outstanding networking circles.

This year WLS features Pamela Ryckman as the keynote speaker. The author of Stiletto Network: Inside the Women’s Power Circles That Are Changing the Face of Business and of countless articles published in the NY Times and the Washington Post, Ryckman is a sought after speaker and journalist with a passion for business. Her sixty minute session, titled Stiletto Networks: How Women Build Power Circles for Career Success, will provide “an inside look at a better way of doing business,” discussing the groundbreaking movement of women banding together to help other women, forming networking groups and collaborating to achieve clout, success and enjoyment.

Following sessions will address “power circles” and natural networking within the business community, featuring distinguished women from various fields of business.  Panelists Diane Garnick, Diana Gáler and Veruna Stanescu will lead a discussion on the importance of power circles in professional arenas, followed by Raleigh Mayer, a consultant on business behaviors and personal presentation, who will present on effective networking.

The event will run from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm in Education Building room 212. Breakfast will be served. The cost is $75 dollars per person and $65 for TCNJ alumni. For more information on the event and how to register visit: www.tcnj.edu/womensnetworks/.
