TCNJ’s team came in 10th place among 25 participating universities at the RBI National Sales Challenge at William Paterson University. This was quite impressive, considering the size of the sales programs of our competitors, some with over 200 sales majors. Among the schools placing below TCNJ were Indiana U., Baylor, and Villanova.
Senior management major Dave Goodmark placed 15th of 49 students in the role play competition. He and fellow management senior Brenton Keyes also competed in a “speed selling” competition, which required students to give two minute elevator speeches to recruiters acting as judges. Keyes is pictured below making his pitch. Goodmark noted: “The opportunity this opens with the companies that are here, it’s definitely an advantage [over other graduating seniors.] You definitely want to get the word around to the companies that ‘I’m really interested.'”
