TCNJ’s Pi Sigma Epsilon Excels at National Convention

The 2022 Pi Sigma Epsilon National Convention took place from March 22-26 in Minneapolis, MN. The College of New Jersey’s Zeta Zeta chapter attended the National Convention and performed extremely well.

GREENFIELD, WI— From March 22-26, students from chapters across the country competed in Pi Sigma Epsilon’s National Convention in Minneapolis, MN. This was the first National Convention held in person since the 2019 National Convention in Jacksonville, FL.

PSE Members participated in several competitions at the Convention, including the fraternity’s signature competition—the Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon®, PSE’s National Speakers, and the Mutual of Omaha Interview Competition at the National Convention.

Finalists for the National Awards Program and for the National Education Foundation Scholarship Program competed on site as well. Winners were announced for the 19 different categories in the National Awards Program, and more than $35,000 in scholarships were awarded.

PSE extends our deepest gratitude to all corporate partners, to our volunteers, and to our students for making the National Convention possible. The College of New Jersey’s Zeta Zeta chapter earned the following awards at the Convention:
• Top PSE Salesperson Finalist– Caroline Frattone
• Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon National Convention 5th Place – won by Julianne Brinton
• Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon Yearlong Competition 3rd Place – won by Julianne Brinton
• KEYENCE Corporation Scholarship won by Julianne Brinton

Awards
Top PSE Salesperson
This individual has best demonstrated the ability to sell through PSE activities on campus and in the local community. Being well-versed in selling and sales management with significant project organization and participation while maintaining a high standard of ethics and professionalism. The Top PSE Salesperson is truly the best example of someone having used PSE as a training ground for future sales career success.
Competitions
Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon National Convention Competition
Prior to the Convention, contestants had to complete sales modules developed by Carew International. The sales call itself took the form of a 12-minute sales role play. 128 elite PSE sales students representing 30 universities across the nation participated in the Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon. The students were divided into rooms of 6-7 competitors each. The top two performers from each room were selected for the Final Round. With the generous support from Carew International, UPS, Citrix, and the National Educational Foundation, the PSE Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon® has helped develop and train aspiring salespeople since 1992.
Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon Year-Long Competition
For the Year-Long Competition, which combines the contestants’ Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon scores from the Regional Conference and the Virtual National Convention, Julianne Brinton placed 3rd overall and was awarded a permanent trophy and $1000.
With the generous support from Carew International, UPS, Citrix, Vector, and the National Educational Foundation, the PSE Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon® has helped develop and train aspiring salespeople since 1992.

Scholarships
KEYENCE Corporation Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a student that is heavily involved in a PSE chapter that is interested in pursuing sales as a full-time career, preferably a student that is interested in technical sales
