Alumni of The College of New Jersey’s Pi Sigma Epsilon chapter gathered with current members on February 6th at the Salt Creek Grille in Princeton for the first ever PSE reunion since its founding in the 2007-2008 academic year. Alumni flew in from across the country including Austin, Texas and Boca Raton, Florida, creating a memorable experience demonstrating the dedication and value of PSE alumni.
Founder Allen Soriano ’09 stated, “It reinforces the value of not just what you can get out of PSE while you’re in college but also as an alumni.” With a strong network of highly motivated and successful people, this event provided PSE members and alumni to reconnect and continue to develop their networks. In the words of Faculty Advisor Dr. Pelham, “There’s nothing like a social event to cement relationships and to improve what the club is all about.”
Alumni relations within Pi Sigma Epsilon are part of what makes this organization such a facet to those a part of it. Not only does this network continue on past graduation, it is what creates an edge for current students in their career preparation. Graduating senior Chris Minitelli majoring in History and Communications with a marketing minor had said on behalf of the alumni network, “From interviewing tips to even helping me connect with the right people for an interview, our alumni have always been very generous and helpful. The closeness and guidance of our alumni has really proven to be one of the greatest aspects of being a part of Zeta Zeta.” Thanks to the efforts of alumni Matt Nugent ’11 for setting up the event, we look forward to continuing this event in the future. An event like this demonstrates the benefits of being a part of Pi Sigma Epsilon extend past the academic years at TCNJ and into future careers. As stated by Matt Nugent, “PSE’s slogan is “Your Business Advantage for Life” and we are really living it out.”
