Four School of Business accounting majors have been awarded scholarships from the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA). The students are:

  • Samantha Bolka
  • Sherida Hincksosn
  • Alerie Sebastian
  • Kylie Turner

Through their hard work and determination, our students have earned the professional accounting community’s praise and acknowledgment,” Dr. Bea Chiang, chair, Department of Accounting and Information Systems.

About the NJCPA Scholarship Fund: The NJCPA Scholarship Fund attracts the best and brightest New Jersey students into the accounting profession and provides the resources needed for students from diverse fields to pursue an accounting education. Thanks to the generous support of NJCPA members and New Jersey accounting firms, over the last six decades the fund has supported more than 1,600 New Jersey students totaling more than $4 million in awards. The fund has helped to increase the number of both minorities and women who enter the profession, and many scholarship recipients have been the first to attend college in their families.
