After earning his degree in business management in 2009, DeWarren Register began his career in human resources as a recruiter. Shortly thereafter, he transitioned into an HR generalist role where he learned the many facets of human resources, all of which prepared him for his current role as director.
“TCNJ taught me the many avenues to business,” said Register. “TCNJ also helped me to think outside of the box. One of my favorite professors, Lew Hofmann, had an interesting way of teaching, but it truly helped begin my path into critical and lateral thinking.”
Words of advice to current students:
“Although I learned a lot in the School of Business, the community and support that the entire TCNJ community provides is exceptional. The School of Business gave me the bricks to build my career, but Ivonne Cruz with CAS is the one who helped me keep it all together! Don’t be afraid to ask for help, and it’s ok not to have it all together. The goal is to keep moving forward and align yourself with people headed in the same direction!”
