Sophomore Published in Journal of Student Scholarship

Business management sophomore Amanda Maroun’s paper, “Concerns of Data Collections Practices,” was published in The College of New Jersey’s Journal of Student Scholarship. Maroun was inspired to minor in Information System Technology after taking freshman seminar course “Nowhere to Hide,” with Dr. Lynn Braender. The class focused on topics related to data privacy, such as social media data privacy policy, data mining, machine learning, data privacy laws, and internet crime.

Maroun was encouraged to submit her final paper, “Concerns of Data Collections Processes,” to the Journal of Student Scholarship. “It was satisfying putting the pieces together from all the evidence I collected into one argumentative piece of writing, ” said Maroun. “After turning my assignment in and getting feedback from Professor Braender to submit it to the TCNJ Journal of Student Scholarship, we worked on preparing the paper for submission. We edited and revised the paper and worked on formatting before submission.”

You can read Maroun’s article here.
