Joshua Allman graduated in 2018 with a finance degree. Today he is an Assistant Vice President of Global Wealth and Investment Management (GWIM) specializing in Employee Benefits Sales for Merrill (Bank of America). Currently, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 2 candidate and plans to pursue a master’s degree in public policy after completing his CFA designation. “I was led to my current position through my previous role at Merrill, as an equity team leader, which gave me vast product knowledge of every retirement product and most critically, conflict resolution, interpersonal, and leadership skills,” said Allman.
Allman credits TCNJ’s emphasis on class projects and presentations, which gave him the skills and confidence to speak with senior executives and high net-worth clients. To current School of Business students, Allman says to, “be diverse and purposeful in your education and knowledge base. Once you get inside a firm, the most valuable tool to your senior leaders is your ability to provide unique resolutions to existing problems.”
While at TCNJ Allman also majored in music with a focus on cello and voice. “At TCNJ, through the orchestra and choir, I was able to perform multiple times in New York City, the Lincoln Center, and a Game of Thrones tour at the Verizon Center in PA.”
He has taken up mountain biking and many other outdoor activities over the last few weeks.
