Celebrating the 2017 School of Business Graduates

Congratulations, 2017 graduates!
The School of Business Commencement Program is on Thursday, May 18, at 8:30 a.m.

Below are plans shared by some of our graduating School of Business students:

Ryan Darrel will work in marketing for Bai Brands.

April Dellner: Working as an audit entry for the Mercadien Group, located in Hamilton, NJ.

Lauren Desmond: I was fortunate enough to accept a job offer with Merrill Edge in early February this year. I will be working as a Financial Solutions Advisor at their headquarters in Hopewell, NJ. So,I will still be in the wonderful Ewing area! I am emotional to be leaving an institution that has given me so much these past four years, but I know I am well prepared for the journey ahead and couldn’t be more excited to start this next chapter of my life.

Jennine Ebanks: After graduating and earning my degree in Finance, I have accepted a full-time position with Bank of America’s Corporate Headquarters in Charlotte, NC working as a credit analyst. I will be relocating, and after a year or two I plan on going to graduate school. I do have an interest in social justice, self-sufficiency, and children. I can’t tell you exactly, but I will definitely be taking advantage of tuition reimbursement from BoFA and enrolling in graduate school. My twin sister, Janice Ebanks, will either be working as a RN at a nearby hospital with a focus in the PICU because she loves children and had great clinical experience in the NICU and PICU.

Alyssa J Freitas: After graduating I will be working for IBM as a Client Relationship Representative in Manhattan. I’m part of the Summit Program through which I will train for 6 months across the country, learning about IBM’s sales methodology and offerings. I am thrilled to be starting with a technology company that has a focus on cognitive computing and to be in the greatest city on earth!

Catherine Killian: After graduation, I am going to be working full-time for Northwestern Mutual in Princeton, New Jersey. My official title is Director of Marketing and Client Services. I am going to be traveling to Austria, Bratislava, Budapest, and London in September to reconnect with the five girls I lived with when I interned abroad in London my sophomore year.

Andrew Kornas: KPMG audit in short hills. I’ll be traveling to clients around New Jersey which I love and enjoy the client side of accounting.

Yuting Li: Grant Thornton as an auditor associate.

Patrick McSorley: Deloitte after graduation. I will be engaging in the Audits of public companies.

Kristina Parag : I’ve accepted a position with Johnson & Johnson post graduation. I’ll be part of their Sales Leadership Development Program and will be the Sales Strategy Analyst on the OTC Consumer team in Pennsylvania.

Andrew Piccarelli: After graduation I will be working for PNC bank. Last summer, I had a wonderful internship experience with PNC and I was excited to learn at the end of my internship that I received an offer to be part of PNC’s “ACCEL Retail Development Program”. As an analyst in this accelerated 12 month program I will be doing rotations in markets across the United States and learning from leaders in the banking industry. A culmination of classroom learning and field experiences will allow me to develop as a banking professional. I will be focusing on consumer and business banking segments for the duration of my program and will have the opportunity to choose my line of business upon graduating from ACCEL. I’m so fortunate to be apart of the TCNJ community and would not have landed this extremely sought after role without the School of Business.

Jonathan Sheridan: I have excepted a job offer with Merck & Co in their Finance department as an internal auditor. Merck is a pharmaceutical company located in Kenilworth, NJ. As an internal auditor I will have the opportunity to travel to Merck locations all over the world. While I do not have any assignments yet, the firm said I will be traveling all over the world. Other TCNJ graduates at Merck in my role have had the opportunity to travel to places like Brazil, South Africa, Australia, and all over Europe and Asia. Before I start working I want to take some time and travel to the west coast. I have never been and also really love hiking. I want to see a couple national parks in Colorado, Utah, and California this summer.

Chrystalla Socratous
: Sales at News America Marketing as an Account Coordinator. I will be acting as a liaison between clients and internal departments, participating in sales calls, handling production materials, processing orders and contracts, and coordinating client presentations.

Shavelly Valencia will be an accountant for Blue Apron.

Garrett Verdone
will be pursuing his passion for acting. He will be attending the Gately Poole Conservatory hoping to earn a Meisner Acting Certificate. He does not intend to hold full-time business job, but says that many skills he acquired in the School of Business will give him an edge over other actors.
