The TCNJ School of Business and the TCNJ School of Humanities and Social Sciences, together with the TCNJ Center for Global Engagement and the European Study Center, offer a semester-long program for TCNJ students in the financial hub of Germany, the European Union’s most powerful member and the heart of European history and culture. Students – particularly sophomores and juniors – may participate in the fall or spring semesters. Below, you will hear from School of Business finance professor, Dr. Susan Hume and students that are currently studying in Heidelberg during the fall 2017 semester. Check back for updates!
October 2017:
Hallo from TCNJ’s finance professor, Dr. Susan Hume!
This is my home for 4 months…Heidelberg! I am here with TCNJ students teaching and getting a unique perspective of the world. I am at the European Study Center (ESC).
Heidelberg has many faces-old winding roads with castles (schloss in German), museums and dreamy squares. A place for romantics. I walk everywhere, a great way to work off calories from delicious fresh food and brots (bread).
At first I was nervous-speaking little German. I’m learning. Many here speak English well. Check in next blog. I talk about my identity and what we’re up to abroad at ESC. Tschüss!
