Economics Career Information Event

On Saturday, November 4, 2017, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. the Economics department along with Economics Club is holding a career event for economics majors. After a short general session in Business Building room 122 students can choose which of the following sessions where former economics, school of business graduates, and economics professionals are pursuing careers.


Business

  • Mike Zane–consultant employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers assisting and advising clients using data manipulation and process evaluation skills
  • Joe Bisti–utilizing information systems and graduate training in business organization skills at a public gas and electric utility
  • Mike Lavalle

Law

  • Lenod Sprishin–attorney for a law firm in Princeton, NJ
  • Nancy Todaro–attorney working as in-house counsel for a manufacturing firm

Economic Analysis

  • Richard Hendra–researcher evaluating policies of federal government agencies
  • Joe Cerenzio–consultant to local firms using statistical and computer programing skills analyst for a consumer products firm

Academia

  • Trevor O’Grady–a recent graduate of an economics PhD program teaching undergraduate economics

Undecided Career

  • Nicol Nicola–analyst of several topics for state government
  • Georg Cerf–former head of the School of Business internship program
Whether you are a first year economics major, a senior, or in between, you can expect to interact with former economics majors who share your aspirations, experienced the uncertainties of the transition from undergraduate courses to careers, and encountered and opportunities for professional growth. Be prepared to ask questions about their strategies, satisfactions, frustrations, career aspirations, and how those relate to your own aspirations.
After the sessions, food and beverages will be available as well as an opportunity for one-on-one conversations with the presenters.
