Delta Sigma Pi Hosts Local Middle School

Delta Sigma Pi Hosts Local Middle School

On Wednesday, April 18, Delta Sigma Pi hosted students from Rivera Middle School in Trenton, NJ as part of the Business Matters Youth Entrepreneurship Program. The program aims to develop financial literacy and money management skills in middle school students. Throughout the program, students have learned about marketing principles, loan agreements, real estate, and entrepreneurship. At the end of the program, the students will have developed a business plan and will present it during a Market Fair Day.

During the field trip to TCNJ, the students networked with Dean William Keep and Assistant Dean Tammy Dieterich. CEO Peer Mentors Michele Hom and Micaela Schaffer presented a presentation on TCNJ’s study abroad programs and their personal experiences of learning in a different country. Additionally, Professor Alberto Carbonilla of the management department gave a presentation on the principles of management, and their applicability to starting and owning a business.
