Matthew Heidelberg ’01 is the Director of Corporate Development & Investor Relations for ECN Capital Corporations. After receiving a finance degree from the School of Business, he began his career as an assistant trader overseeing equity executions and derivative strategies for managed funds. “By the end, I grew tired of the daily volatility and have since taken a job on the corporate side with ECN Capital,” said Heidelberg. Now I spend about 90% of my time analyzing potential finance companies for us to acquire and the rest of my time on investor relations.”
He is married to Reagan Hedelberg ’01, and has three children, a 5-year-old and 2-year-old twins.
Matthew Heidelberg’s advice to current students: Always seek to increase your learning curve and request to take on more responsibility when you’re ready for it.
