Student members of the American Marketing Association (AMA) traveled to New Orleans to attend the 40th International Collegiate Conference, the Timeless Beauty of Marketing.
Members attended various sessions at the conference, including one with Mark French, a sports and entertainment entrepreneur, and “Telling the Sustainability Story,” with Erin McNichol, the HP Global Energy and Sustainability Program Manager. “She spoke about the need for top-down support for sustainability, and meeting the needs of the present without compromising the needs of the future. A sustainability strategy needs to connect to the overall strategy. She said that, ‘a brand is who you are, what you do, how you do it, and only then, how you communicate it’,” said Kaelyn DiGiamarino, AMA chapter president.
