Darrel D. Frater ’15 is the founding partner and vice president of business development for Urban Entrepreneur Centers of America. Soon after earning his undergraduate degree in business management, Frater met his business partner on LinkedIn, where the two exchanged content that would eventually become Urban Entrepreneur Centers of America. In his role as vice president of business development, Frater is responsible for the growth of the company through opening new Entrepreneur Centers across the country.
When asked how his TCNJ education prepared him for entrepreneurship and his current role, Frater responded, “TCNJ School of Business provided a well-rounded foundation of the knowledge needed to operate, grow, and scale a business. With the foundation TCNJ School of Business provided it is easy to grasp onto additional sources of information to problem solve. It has given me the confidence that no problem is too difficult to find a solution for.” He also urged current students to start pursuing their dreams now, advising them that starting while in school has its advantages. Frater plans on pursuing his MBA in the near future.
